Most famously, In 1823 Paviland cave yielded an Upper Paleolithic-era human male skeleton which was the first human fossil to be found anywhere in the world. Llangennith hosts the largest Church in Gower which was founded in the 6th Century, the early buildings were destroyed by Vikings, the present structure dates from the 12th century.

The annual Endurancelife event in Gower will be starting from the National Trust Centre, Rhossili on the morning of 9th November.
