Welcome to the Speakeasy!
We cannot tell you how excited we are for our first prohibition weekend – we have secured some incredible bands and are really getting into the spirit of things here at the King’s Head.
11th October Silver – South Wales’ finest rock and pop covers band. They play the right songs with energy and flair and their rapport with the audience is second to none.
12th October Washboard Resonators -from Leeds in England and can be described as sounding and looking like ‘a ragtime street band meets a Hollywood musical on a theatre stage somewhere in around 1932’. Their favourite performers include the jazz, ragtime, hokum, blues, comedy and vaudeville sounds of Louis Armstrong, Blind Boy Fuller, Fred Astaire, The Washboard Rhythm Kings, Robert Johnson, Gene Krupa, Max Miller, Tampa Red and The Memphis Jug Band.
Get your glad rags on and join us for a prohibition weekend.
With live music and SECRET drinks all weekend.
