March on into Spring, hibernation is over! As our Chef so well put, Spring is in the air and we want to celebrate by offering you our fabulous March/April deals! Hibernation is over, the first signs of spring are starting to show so dust off your suitcases and come and visit Gower at it’s best! The schools are all back in full swing, and the beaches have already returned to their precious, glorious sparse empty spaces so if you fancy a relaxing getaway with miles of magnificent coastline to explore then there is no better time! The famous ‘Worms Head’ jutting out into the Bristol Channel offering the most spectacular sunset locations in the UK.  Apart from the astonishing coastline Gower also has beautiful woodlands and vast tracts of moorland which offers natural habitat to diverse flora and fauna. Gower offers a wealth of walks for both the amble strollers to the more avid ramblers. The beaches offer a wealth of water sports with surfing being the most popular. Ripnrock provides a range of activities – but these are not for the faint hearted! In 1956, Gower became the first area in the United Kingdom to be designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. For those interested in history, Gower has plenty to offer with numerous castles, churches, landmarks and caves. Most famously, In 1823 Paviland cave yielded an Upper Paleolithic-era human male skeleton which was the first human fossil to be found anywhere in the world. Llangennith hosts the largest Church in Gower which was founded in the 6th Century, the early buildings were destroyed by Vikings, the present structure dates from the 12th century.
