Reservations

For a standard booking you must pay 50% of the room cost at the time of booking, and the balance on arrival.

Special offer bookings must be paid in full at the time of booking. Offer bookings are non-refundable and no amendments can be made. If the company does allow a booking modification, it is at the discretion of the company, and administration fees may be charged.

All reservations are subject to availability. We accept payment by debit or credit card (Excluding Amex and Diner cards) or cash. By booking you are authorising the company to debit the card provided and for any monies owed to be collected in this manner.

If you have booked a Room Only via Booking.com you are able to add our Buffet Breakfast at a  fixed rate of £11.95 per person. This includes a cooked breakfast option, tea / coffee, cereal, fruit juice and a selection of fresh items. Please ask if you require more details. Your booking confirmation is generated by our system generically, and does not supersede your confirmation from Booking.com.

Room prices

Room prices are per room, per night and are inclusive of VAT (20%). Prices include a maximum of 2 persons per room. When booking directly with us, breakfast is included in the room price unless stated as room only. All other meals and drinks must be paid for separately. The King’s Head reserves the right to review its room prices from time to time. If you make a reservation more than one month in advance, the quoted room price may change before the date of your stay King’s Head. Although King’s Head aims to inform you before it makes price increases, the Kings Head reserves the right to charge the room price current on the arrival date or you may cancel the reservation without charge. The King’s Head may charge a supplement during key events and periods of high demand. Please note an administration charge maybe applied when making changes to an existing booking (for example date changes) and you will always be informed of this prior to any changes being confirmed.

Cancellations

If you cancel a bedroom reservation within 14 days of arrival then the deposit will be forfeited. Cancellation information must retained for any travel insurance you may have. Partial cancellation of a booking (i.e. reducing the length of your stay) may result in an increase of the room rate for the remainder of the stay or cancellation of the entire booking. If you have booked a stay with a minimum term, for example: 2 night minimum stay for a Saturday night, the amount for the two nights remains payable in full, should you cancel part of your stay.

Cancellations and amendments must be requested in writing (either by email or by post), and will be confirmed to you by email.Any amount you are entitled to be refunded will be issued by cheque.

Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 3pm on the arrival date. Please let the Kings Head know if you are likely to arrive after 5.00pm. Your room must be vacated by 11am on the day of departure. Failure to leave your room by this time will result in an additional charge of £20.00 per hour, leaving after 2.00pm will incur the cost of one night’s accommodation.Check-in after 10pm can be arranged in advance and is chargeable according to time of arrival.

Particular requirements

Family rooms offer accommodation for two adults and up to two children aged 15 and under, or a maximum of 2 adults. The Kings Head cannot provide cots. You are welcome to bring your own. Kings Head has 4 rooms which are specially adapted for customers with disabilities. Alternatively, if you have difficulty walking but do not require a specially adapted room, you may request a room on the ground floor near reception for easier access. All rooms are subject to availability. We apologise in advance if your particular requests cannot be met. If you require any of these facilities please inform us upon booking.

Smoking

In accordance with the no-smoking legislation, The Kings Head is a smoke free premises and smoking is not permitted anywhere within the buildings, smoking areas are outside. Failure to adhere to this policy will result in an additional charge of £100.

Breakfast

Breakfast is served in the Restaurant between 8.30am and 10.30am on weekdays and weekends. If you need to depart prior to this time, please book a breakfast tray in advance.

Meals

Meals are available in the Bar 11a.m to 9.30pm. We strongly recommend that our guests book a table in advance if they wish to dine with us on the first night of their stay. We are unable to guarantee a table for you if you have not made a table reservation. Reservations for subsequent nights may be made on a day by day basis, please ask for advice when you check-in.

Dogs

Well behaved dogs are allowed in some of the bedrooms by prior arrangement; however no dogs are to be left unattended in the bedrooms at any time, any damage or noise disturbance will be charged to the room. Dogs are allowed to accompany you into the pub but must be kept under control, and remain on a lead (please note we do have one dining area that excludes dogs).You may book a table in our pet friendly dining area, availability permitting. Please keep dogs off the furniture in the room, any soiling of bedding or soft furnishing is chargeable as we are charged by the laundry company.

Consideration

Please show due consideration to other guests. Antisocial behaviour cannot be tolerated. Any guest causing noise disturbance or other inconvenience to any guests or staff member maybe asked to leave. You will not be entitled to any refund and/or will be charged a fee to any reimbursement made to any affected guests. You may also be prohibited from returning in future.

 

Force Majeure

  • Extreme weather conditions such as storm, flood, burst pipes or damage to the hotel.
  • Breakdown of machinery/appliances, or any failure to supply the Inn with Gas, Electricity, water and so on, outsite the control of the Company.

If any of the above occurs the company will do it’s best to avoid any inconvenience to you or your guests. The company shall not be in breach of this agreement if it does not provide the services under this agreement due to the above circumstances.

Please Note

Electrical appliances, such as toasters, mini cookers and portable grills, may not be used in the rooms as they may set off the sensitive fire alarm system. Reservations for rooms are non-transferable and must not, under any circumstances, be sold or otherwise transferred to a third party who is not a member of your group. You must not advertise, market or otherwise offer any King’s Head room for sale either on its own or as part of a combined offer. Prices include VAT (20% UK) all prices and details are correct at current time and are subject to change without notice. In the unlikely event you have a problem during your stay you must bring it to the attention of management at the time to ensure we have an opportunity to rectify the problem during your stay.

If you are not satisfied that the issue has been fully resolved please submit details in writing as soon as possible to Customer Services, King’s Head, Llangennith, Gower, Swansea, SA3 1HX. None of the terms of the agreement are intended to be enforceable by any third party nor is it intended that this Agreement will confer any right on any person pursuant to the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.
