A Very Special First: Chef Takeover at the King’s Head with Nicky Jones
At the King’s Head, Llangennith, we are always looking for ways to bring something new and exciting to our guests while celebrating exceptional food. This month marked a very special milestone for us — our very first Chef Takeover evening, hosted by the incredibly talented Nicky Jones.
The evening was a huge success and a wonderful experience for everyone who attended.
Guests enjoyed a beautifully crafted tasting menu, with each course thoughtfully designed to showcase bold flavours, seasonal ingredients and refined techniques. From the warm sourdough bread course with whipped marmite and honey butter, through to dishes inspired by woodland, river and farm, the menu was a true culinary journey.
The atmosphere in the restaurant was fantastic, with diners enjoying not only the food but also the excitement of something new happening at the King’s Head. The feedback we received throughout the evening was simply incredible, with many guests describing the experience as “outstanding”, “creative” and “one of the best meals they’ve had in Gower.”
Events like this are exactly what we love to bring to our guests — special evenings where great food, great company and a relaxed atmosphere come together.
And the good news…
After such a fantastic response, Nicky Jones will be returning to the King’s Head this November for another Chef Takeover evening.
If the first event is anything to go by, tickets are likely to be in very high demand — so we recommend keeping a close eye on our social media and website for the release date to avoid disappointment.
We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who joined us for this special night and helped make our first Chef Takeover such a memorable success.
We can’t wait to do it all again.
